So my buddy has a denim black bike. When he first got the bike he loved the color, but now about a year later he hates it. The bike always looks dirty.

 

I wanted Denim Black, but I found a great deal on a Vivid Black model and haven't looked back since. I still like the look of Denim, but my bike stole my heart. The contrast of chrome and Vivid black really makes the bike IMO.

 

I have the denim black and like it a lot. Cleaning is pretty easy with windex and if you want, harley denim cleaner.

I do think there are more used parts, such as lowers and tour packs available in vivid black.

I would buy denim black again.

 

Denim is easier to maintain. Which one looks "better" is a matter of application and/or preference.

 

My vote goes to Vivid Black and you can see why in my sig pick. But I have seen some wicked cool denim bikes.

For a moment red looks good and so does cool blue.

Vivid Black: nothing shines as well new or old, and goes as well with chrome.
