June Motorcyclist article about new Harleys built in India for the US market
anyone else read this?
Was just scanning my mags (haven't read them yet) and they're talking about a buell blast replacement along with a 750 that would find it's way here.
Be interesting to see what these are gonna look like.

Its funny you said that because I was in every way possible trying to imagine me on a Victory and I just couldnt do it. They are ugly.

They're looking for an 'entry level bike' for the North American market
Something that will be less than $7000 out the door and small enough for new riders. This opens HD up to a whole new market if they get a new smaller cc bike. Sure it will be imported but it gets new riders into HD's and this is all the Moco is interested in.

Seriously ALL Victory's are ugly??? Thought it was just the Vision that so many hated...But what about all the hype of HD being American made and the heritage of being American made...This goes against the "tradition" of HD...Does this mean people will start hanging out the local 7-11???

The article is BS. I predict Indian Harleys will be for the Indian/Asian market, just like they've said. Harley is well aware that "made in USA" is one of its most important selling points and every article I've heard of has said the Indian plant will make Harleys for Asia.
