Goo gone, simple green, any de-greaser. I am assuming it's chrome, you could also try brasso or never-dull.

Hope this helps!

Easy Off Oven Cleaner, and a smooth cloth. No steel wool or SOS pads. After you get the worst of it, you can get the rest with your fingernail. That's how I got rid of a little FrogTogs rain pants that I left on my right pipe, last summer.

Do not use an S.O.S pad. Oh yes, how smart am I??? Not very, but I have learned from my mistakes. years ago on Intruder I got second hand I had a lovely black mark from my cooking shoes, rockports, I thought a little SOS will take that right off. It did along with the scratching the hell out of the chrome and dulling it. Never again. Live and learn.

I use oven cleaner but only spray directly on the boot mark and only on the pipe. I found out the hard way when I got a little oven cleaner on powder coated parts. It removes the gloss from them and it also faded some black parts. Be very careful and learn from my mistake. It does work really good and very fast.

I used a razor blade to get the majority of it off very carefully and then a cleaner to wipe away the rest.

You can use steel wool, as long as it's the super fine #0000, have used it several times on various chrome pieces with no problems

I find t-cut and elbow grease gets most marks out without any damage

Road Rub, it is a product for this. You can find it in any dealer. It's a little white deoderant looking container.

Easiest way I have found to remove boot marks is .......

Take a ride on the scoot and get pipes nice and hot.
Have #0000 steel wool pad and WD40 ready home.
Spray WD40 onto steel wool pad and wipe off boot marks.

WD40 will smoke a little but never been a problem for me. I've smoked a little in my life, too.

They will come right off and chrome will look like new.
