The weight shoudn't be that big of a deal until your well into a lean angle. It may be your reaction to the bike. The HD will dive in the front (unlike the Honda) if you grab too much front brake and can make for a very awkward foot plant if you're not ready for it.

Practice taking it slow and easy and don't be shy about putting both feet out prior to actually stopping until you get the hang of it.

The biggest issue now is not psyching yourself out and expecting to drop it again.

Notna matter of weight - dumped mine first time last week; pulled from stop on 2nd, killed it w/front wheel hard over - went down like a magnet. The ride like a pro DVD are way excellent!!!!
