Bike drop at stop
#104
My Cuz bought a new 10 UC last fall..
He dropped it at the dealership lot when he stopped at exit to wait on traffic. Didn't get his foot down, said his foot got hung up in the lowers..
Since then he's dropped it 4 more times turning the 180* in his back yard to get it into the shed where he parks it. Mostly because of sharp turns at low speed and all the rain just makes it worse...
In March, the last time (5th) he dropped it he broke his right leg above the ankle and is still in a walking cast..
His fix was the new Trike he had in his shed now..

It will be second nature after a while, just practice.

I just did the same thing last week on my very first ride.
Was planning to turn right at the intersection. Stopped the bike with the bars turned slightly to the right and felt the front brake grab just as she stopped. As hard as I tried, she was past the point where I could stop the inevitable and over it went.
Aside from feeling really stupid, I did receive applause from the cage next to me as I silently thanked myself for "googling" the term "how to pick up a Harley".

No, no, no. He was an experienced rider. Turning your wheel and hitting your front brakes is something you learn real quickly no to do. Honda or Harley, doesn't matter. Nah, there was something else going on there.
