Cured myself of Helmet OCD and got rid of my 1/2-helmets.
Since I have to wear one I might as well wear a FF and be comfortable.
But no windshiekd on my bike.

Short two hour ride and I amassed something close to 2 million bugs and nearly 2 lbs of bug guts on my windscreen. Cool is cool, but not eating bugs is better. I prefer my protein to come off the grill with a hint of mesquite.

OK. I see we are speaking in code here. Never a "FF" for me. I always use a "WS". Windscreen. Sorry I did not read your code. Nowadays everyone seems to get a personal attack if not agreed with. Sign of the times. I am bout ready to back off on this internet stuff. Just watch and ride my own ride. Ride easy.

I don't worry so much about the noise, it's holding on at highway speeds that get me.

I don't like the look of my Deuce with the windshield, that's the reason I have a quick detachable windshield. Not for the wind noise but for the effect of the wind on my chest at 75mph. I do a fair amount of super slab riding and it just makes it much more comfortable with a windshield.

FWIW, I don't like the look of saddlebags either, thus the detachable ones.
(also don't like the little back rest bag, but I gotta have some place to carry something.)

You get to love the wind in your face. Earplugs will help. You can hear with them in but keep the wind out.

Default Wind

Use earplugs...I like the wind pushing at my chest and it helps strengthen my arms. You can feel a real difference between the beginning of the riding season and the end.

I love my windshield. It helps protect my eyes, takes the pressure off my body at high speeds, reduces wind noise, and keeps bugs away. I even like the way it looks.

It makes no sense to me to suffer for the sake of appearance.
