Ok just curious as to what the hell is the purpose of a leather vest on a motorcycle??? I mean what does it protect you from if you go down?? It seems kind of worthless...is it just for looks?

1. To look tacky
2. Desperate for acceptance
3. Generate revenue for the dealer

I think you can see where I'm going with this.

 

Keeps your shirt from fluttering really helps fatiuge on 4-500 mile days, keeps stuff in your shirt pocket, warmer than just a shirt cooler than a jacket oh and they look good too. if ya got a thing against vests don't wear one.

 

Chicks can't see your buldging muscles if you have sleeves.

 

keeps the beer gut from bouncing when you hit a big bump!

It protects the body core, the only part of a rider's body that is perpendicular to the wind, from chill & bees & provides pockets & conceals weapons.
