Tell me about it!! I'm in LIBERAL-TOWN, USA (figuratively) Hillary and Bill Clinton are my neighbors. (But don't hold that against me.)
I can use some help from you guys out here. Sometimes I feel all alone![]

I keep mine outside in an unheated shed. I just spray S100 corrosion protectant on the whole bike and wash it off in the spring, also kept under a cover.

Lot's of good advice here. I stored my FatBoy and a friend's Road King over winter in my unheated garage in Germany last year. Cranked 'em up and rolled 'em out and in of the garage a couple of times a month to hopefully eliminate flat spots on the tires and move the wheel bearings and trees. No problems come riding time. Also, make sure that your wife and kids don't start to use the bike for storage just because it is in storage (like all that excercise equipment!).

actually if you start it and let it runn every week just as if you were out for a ride you wont even need the battery tender
I say if you can keep it at home DO IT !
mine is not here but then it is getting pampered and making changes all winter as the new improved transformation has already begun ...... but it is where I can get to it anytime weather is premitting so I can Ride !
Don't believe that for a second. All of the suggestions have been good except that one. Not bashing here, just surprised that that rumor is still circulating. EXCESS amps are redirected to the battery for storage. The excess amps are only created at 2500 RPM or above, generally speaking. 900-1100 idle RPM is only draining it.

As for changing the oil in the spring... I'd change it in the fall. Sure, as mentioned, you're going to burn off a lot of the condensation on your first spring ride, but why let contaminated oil sit in the engine for 5 months? You're talking about oil quality, but missing the point of what the shitty oil is doing while it's sitting in there.

Change the oil just before stotage, to get the junk out of the motor.

Don't start it unless you warm it up goood and go ride 20 miles

Do use the tender

Actually, the moisture will easily penetrate a plywood floor. You might consider puttilng a piece of plastic UNDER the plywood.

Man if my house what that big, I'd just hoist the bike up to the ceiling in the living room. If you have company you can tell them its a "MOBILE" and what the hay, you may just start a trend. If its really that big get four of five up thier what the heck!

I got heating in my garage, but I only use it whan the weather gets real cold. I've got a nice breathable cover and a battery tender. To be honest, I spend so much time detailing (over and over LOL) in the winter months, I'm always checking the bike out anyhow.
