Tell me about it!! I'm in LIBERAL-TOWN, USA (figuratively) Hillary and Bill Clinton are my neighbors. (But don't hold that against me.)
I can use some help from you guys out here. Sometimes I feel all alone![]

Yep, have the battery tender. Now if I lived in AZ during the winter, I woudn't need any of this.
You are absolutely right about that, no heat needed and it's dry almost all the time and there are way less left wing liberal types running all over the place trying to tax you to death and control your life.

As you have found out, no need for heat.

But I would pull the battery(as I do) right outta the harness and keep it inside at room temperature, trickle charge will help the longevity of the battery.
Also thow a cloth or something in your exhaust pipes, so no critters get up their while she's sittin. I keep the fluids in her, because their are plenty of days that I can get out and ride through the winter.

i spend to much time with her in the barn shed . not to have heat i keep between 50-55 out there .and she is hooked up to a tender.then all i hope for is dry streets so i can ride her. i think i put about 300 miles on her last january hope to beat that this year.i know you dont need heat but it sure makes her feel better.i have always done it .this my fifth Harley.plus i like to go out there just to mess around and get ideals for the up coming year.

Heated or unheated doesn't matter as much as a consistent temp does. The changing temps will cause most of the damage

Moisture should be more of a concern vs. temps. Dehumidifier?

You don't need no damn dehumidfier, what ever moisture that has built up in the oil or gas over a winter storage will be blown out the exhaust in minutes, when you start her up in the spring.

I always change my fluids to start the season anyway, just to easy not to do

I prefer heated, as it makes it more comfortable to work on the bike. Also, its not like turning it to a heated garage costs a fortune.

my garge is all insulated but only heated when i work in there.

I have a 8x8 room with lower ceiling in one corner of the garge that i may partition off and put a door on and install a 500 watt electric heater set at 50 degrees and store the bike in there.

Always park your bike on a sheet of plastic.
Concrete will hold a ton of moisture, and covering your floor with plastic will stop it all.
A sheet of plastic, a cloth cover, and a constant temp, warm or cold will be fine.
