Darryl88, this is what I was thinking. But I figure if the bikes in the garage and if I wipe it
down once a week or so with some S100 Detail & Wax it should be fine.

KeithB, good point on the indoor cover. I have one of these.
That should be fine, also make sure you have a battery tender on it, batteries dont like the cold

Yep, have the battery tender. Now if I lived in AZ during the winter, I woudn't need any of this.

Unheated garage with the Battery Tender on. As long as it's out of the snow and salt that all that matters.

Wouldn't there be less moisture in cold air? I would think that corrosion would happen slower in the cold.

In a heated garage there is less chance of your chrome developing rust do to higher moisture content in a non heated garage

No, the very act of heating the air also dries it out.

Yes, but warmer air can evaporate H2O and hold more moisture. The issue with moisture in the cold is that it doesn't want to stay in the air, but rather condenses on things like cold steel. However, I'd say unless you are going in and out of the garage several times a day or leaving the door open for extended periods, It will be a non-issue. Particularly so if you have your scoot covered.

Cheers

actually if you start it and let it runn every week just as if you were out for a ride you wont even need the battery tender
I say if you can keep it at home DO IT !
mine is not here but then it is getting pampered and making changes all winter as the new improved transformation has already begun ...... but it is where I can get to it anytime weather is premitting so I can Ride !

You are absolutely right about that, no heat needed and it's dry almost all the time and there are way less left wing liberal types running all over the place trying to tax you to death and control your life.
