I got alittle over 1500 miles out of my stock dunlop(200/55/17). It looked like I had been in a burn out pit. Put a 880 on and so much better ride. The shop that installed it told me that dunlop had been having problems with that tire. Not sure if thats true, but my tire didnt last.

Always had good luck with Dunlops. They handle fine and I like to run hard in the twisties. I avg about 14-15K on the 200's and a few more K on the front.

Got 9K on my rear now, and the SOB still looks great.

Dunlops on my Heritage last forever. 15,000 miles on a back tire and 25,000 on a front. The Metzler's on my Wideglide start cupping and look like crap around 8,000 miles. I will never buy another set of Metzler's. I have tried two sets on my Wideglide with this set I will be replacing soon being the second set.

I like my ME880's on my RoadGlide, I run 40/40 in them. They have Dynabeads too. That was an experiment thats turning out just great!

When I had my Vulcan, I replaced the Dunlopers for Metz 880s and I agree that it was a rold of difference. Much better performance and much more tread time... more than double!!! My next set will be Metzlers...

Recommended pressures for the rear ME880 is very high at 44-46 solo. I've read a couple of posts where the tires wore to the belts prematurely at the center of the rear tire. Definetly a tell tale sign of over inflation.

Never tried the ME and am new to the Dunlops, but I know tires... If you need extra air pressure in a replacement tire than the OEM tire it is likely that the tire has less sidewall strength and may not be the proper load class for your bike. Can't seem to find any technical detail on the Metzler web site. That bothers me!!

I want to buy the ME880, but not unless I see the spec's...

so far so good with it.. i've put just shy of 500 miles on it. it handles great in turns and takes a lot less input from me to go thru the twistys and i feel a whole lot more comfortable on a heavy lean then i ever did on the dunrocks.. i'm still experimenting with pressures. i'm running 42 in it and it seems to run the best.. i don't want to put too much in and run the center out of the tire..
