I'd go with the wooden beads.
I've found that the ceramic ones tend to break along the edges if hit with a truck fender while you're laying with the neighbor's wife.

Quite honestly... If your'e having problems reaching the ground with your legs, I would suggest getting the bike lowered before you start worrying about which beaded seat cover will make your *** feel better. If not, you'll be asking what cream makes exhaust burns on your leg feel better.
Tough to get a good straight answer from the folks in THIS thread.....
Straight answer: Beads are beads when it comes to keeping you cool, ceramic or wood both work as they both allow airflow. Over time the wood will weather and crack, the ceramic will chip.
Sheepskin does a good job of allowing airflow (probably not as good as the beads). IMO it is more comfortable and looks better. It is easier to clean.
Tips for sheepskin: Long hair will mat over time and merino sheep is the preferred breed.
I go to one of the big box stores and buy a beaded seat cover (wooden) for a car seat.....cut it to fit over the whole seat(wife likes it also)...cost about 6 bucks...
I've been looking around but have not yet found one at local stores(!) May have to resort to on-line, but I'm gonna have to get one.
