Default New to Harley question about SKULL's on bikes?

At the present time, I'm like Martin Luther King, I have a dream. That is to own a Road King. Just wondering what the SKULL represents on Harley bikes or clothes? Wanted to know the meaning behind the SKULL before I bought a bike that was dressed in SKULL's.

Death and danger. Look at old poison bottles marked with the skull and cross bones. Look at the pirate's flag, the Jolly Roger.

It means the same thing as the snake on the Don't Tread on Me flag.

Don't f**k with me, don't f**k with my bike

sm0kediver has the essence of it. People just like them so they can look bad *** or just like the look of them. The "Willie G Skull" is trade marked by Harley and is the personal artistic creation of Willie G Davidson." That is the only skull on my bike, the Derby Cover.

They are like everything that is decorative, keep it in moderation. Some guys like to cover their bike's in skulls, others don't want anything to do with them. My opinion is "less is more." If you really dig the look, choose one or two, and then work on the meat and potatoes of the bike: intake, pipes, cams, suspension, etc.

Why don't you buy the bike first, and worry about the skulls once you have it?

I have a few on my XL50, but did not go overboard with them. The theam of my bike is flames and skulls so there is a nice mix. Like was said get the bike then worry about modding it.

Are you sure you want to associate yourself with him? He plagiarized most everything he wrote or said (his own university admits that his doctoral thesis, the very foundation of his career, was significantly plagiarized).
