Default Medium low sissy bar medallion?

I have a medium low sissy bar on my 2010 FXDC and I wanted to get a medallion to go on the back of it and I noticed that the screw that goes into the middle of the seat pad is not a screw that will go flush against the seat - as tight as it will go it still sticks out and there is no way to put any medallion on there flush. Has anyone else experienced that problem? I did a search and couldn't find what I was looking for. I went to the dealer and got a medallion I like but there is no way to get it flush because of that screw into the backrest.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

I checked the harley dealer and the website and the only thing they had for the medium low bars are the medallions with the 3M tape on the back and because I can't get them flush with the bar because of the screw I can't use them.....has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks again!

I know exactly what you are talking about on the back of the bar. The screw isn't flush mounted or counter sunk and sits up maybe 1/8 " on the metal back plate

Maybe take the existing screw out, take it down to the hardware store and find a stainless flush mount small flat head screw in the same size threads/depth as the one in the bar and replace it.

Mine came with a flat headed countersunk screw and sits slightly below the surface - didn't like any of the medallions so I made this one from a pin.

Thanks!! I think I may take the screw out and head to Lowes and see if I can find a flat head screw and replace it.

I tried to find one but I couldn't - mine is a countersunk flathead, but the problem is the hole in the sissy bar only allows the screw to go half way up the flathead part and won't allow it to go flush - all of the screws I looked at are the same size head...just seems weird they would make the hole so small that you can't flush mount the screw

I put magnets back there. So far I've had a US Flag and a Breast cancer awareness ribbon back there

Another good idea - do they move with vibration?

If you are talking about the Magnets... No. I've never lost one yet.
