I have noticed the last two rides, guys wearing Harley Davidson jackets/ shirts while riding a metric cruiser. Small talk with one of them and noticed he was riding a Yamaha. I thought that was different. Maybe he's saving for a HD.
I think of it as "this post "Title" states.

When I had my Yamaha Vstar, I liked to wear the Dealer themed HD t-Shirts. Sort of a memento of places I have been. I still like to get those type of t-shirts when we travel or do a t-shirt swap.

Few weeks ago I saw a guy in the mall parking lot getting out of a nice Harley edition Ford truck with a lift kit and custom wheels. He was wearing a Harley t-shirt and Harley riding boots and a big Harley belt buckle so I asked him what kind of bike he rode as I was on my Ultra Classic when I pulled in next to him. He said he rode a Yammy sport bike, but someday he'd like to own a Harley.

I frequently wear HD stuff riding my Indian. Indian riding gear is limited so I just wear the HD stuff. Still works fine.
