Hey guys been thinking a lot about trading in my 08 Electra Glide Ultra Classic for a 2012. The thing which is holding me back is I have so much money tied up in my 08 chrome, LEDs BAL1 tricked exhaust, power commander, the list goes on. I have everything a CVO has and a little more. I know if I trade it in I will lose my ***. So I have been toying with selling private to get as much as I can for it.

The reason I have been thinking about it, I would really like to have a new bike. I bought mine with 23k miles on it; I would love to ABS and the new frame. Rumor has it the 2012s will be water-cooled. I was thinking about getting the 2012 Limited with the 103.

The down side would be starting over again on all the add ons… i'm not really sure which way to go.

Seriously, every year someone starts talking about all Harleys going water cooled.....let the fun begin.

 

I have asked several of the sales guys at my dealership i go to. none of them answer me, but one guy told me there are going to be a lot of people trading in their scooters for the 2012. we will see. i really think that will be the deciding factor for me. if it is water cooled, ill jump at it.

 

Radiator -- That'll be $100 more for the services....

 

I hope you're disappointed...water cooled H-D's would kill sales. Well...we'd get one for sure I guess...

 

If it fits in your budget, do it.

 

sounds like alot of money for abs and a different frame why not wait till 2015 when i heard they will float

 

2017 they will fly, from what i heard

 

i thought about waiting for the floating bikes, but im only 5-6 if it got away from me, id be screwed

im scared of heights ill be forced to stay with the 2012
