Default 2011 Laconia - should I wait to buy extras for my FXDC

Going to try to get to Laconia for at least a day next week.
Questions i was going to buy a windshield H.D. P/N 58348-06, need some other extras foot rest for forward controls and maybe a set of bags for my 2010 FXDC before the ride.

But i have been told to wait and might be able to get a better deal at a vendor or dealer while I am up there. Does anyone have any experience or suggestions.
Pictures are coming

not normally alot of deals on MOCO parts at rallys IMO, if you want to save money I'd buy from one of the 20% online dealers like LSHD.

I have a few buddies who go up to laconia, they have said somethimes you can find a good deal and sometimes get ripped off. Its not far away now so it wouldn't hurt to wait and see what Laconia has to offer and if you don't find it there just order it when you get home.

I wouldn't plan on any kind of a deal on H-D parts but the bags could be another story. What are you looking for? A cheap set of leather throw overs? Anything detachable will require relocating turn signals and side plates, etc. which isn't something you want to do in a parking lot at a rally. If you need them before you go, buy and install now from the comforts of home and then you can enjoy the rally.

I've found that the majority of vending at the Laconia rally consists of T-shirt and leather vendors. If you need Harley specific parts you might want to contact Laconia Harley prior to riding there to make sure they have the parts in stock or will order them for you.

most of parts are old stock and you pay retail, but if you like china t shirts you can do pretty well, and those friggin leather places are so cheap its funny

Most all of the vendors I see there are selling cheap china junk.
You might be able to find a set of bags, but I have never seen Harley windshields for sale there. I think you would do better with online vendors.
Either way, good luck on your upgrades!
Peace

Got back late last night and you were all correct, not much more then T-shirts and cheap leathers. Was hoping to find some parts but nothing.

BUT HAD A GREAT TIME, GREAT PEOPLE, UNBELIEVABLE BIKES

(after riding three and half hours to get there) it's time to start shopping, first the windshield
