That's a hard sell unless both parties know each other and trust each other very well. With all the scams and rip off's now a days....I'd not be handing over a cashiers check to somebody I met on Craig's List, and then wait around for a title to show up in the mail.

The seller had made previous arrangements with his finiacial institution and this what they had suggested. So its best to be on good communication with however you are dealing with?? Right??

10.5 for an '06 Dyna?? Ain't gonna happen. You can buy '06s around here for6-8K all day long. Problem is--if the buyers are like me, when I buy a vehicle I give cash for title;no other way. None of this "title will be mailed to you crap". Best way would be go through the dealership--may cost a little, but you know there ain't gonna be a problem.

"BUT... after three of my buddies have been killed on their bikes.."

Buzzardbait: Where do you live that it is that dangerous to ride? That seems like an incredibly high incidence of death. I think it is good for you to quit riding if you are afraid.

I have been self employed on a shoestring and it is usually doomed to failure. You should get a job if you can't even afford to sell a bike. Take some business and accounting courses before you try to start a business. You are gonna need some liquid assets to keep a start up business going. Good luck.

Wink

You should ask 15.5, after all Harleys appreciate over time. This bike should be worth more than a new one. Plus it's worth more because of all the extras on it.

Honestly, I avoid buying from anyone without a title in hand. There is no such thing as it being the one and only bike for me or the best deal. There are many other HDs for sale.
