Default Brake light

I was out for my first night ride with bike I acquired back in October

I decided it would be a good time to check out all my lights so I did the turn signal check and all was good.

Tried the front brake and the brake light came on.
I tried the foot brake and no brake light

Today I removed the wires from the rear brake switch (screwed into the brake line) and the brake light worked so I guess I have a bad rear switch unit

my question is this a Harley only part or can it be bought pretty much anywhere

Thanks
Dan

If its the same as my Fatboy, you can buy them at any auto parts stores. In the auto parts book it is the same one as used on a Volkswagon.
It was about $14 I think.
