At what point does profiling simply become common sense and stop being the harassment of a minority?

It's always common sense and it works, why do you think the people who get profiled get so upset about it? Even race is a very useful factor in profiling (and was always just one of many factors) you only have to read through the Uniform Crime Reports to figure that out.

What? No DUIs? No Drugs? No weapons violations? One outstanding warrant. Speeding tickets?... maybe. If they clocked the lead bike at 58 in a 55 did all 20 get a speeding ticket for 3 over?????

Questions for LE. Are there documented instances of cop killings along interstate roads by a pack of MC patch holders? Are there documented instances of cops getting jumped along interstate roads by a pack of MC patch holders? Why are cops still educated that clubbers are out to kill cops? Do you really believe your life is in danger if you pull over a pack of patch holders?
Apparently, the Po-Po confiscated one Happy Meal coupon, a couple of baseball cards and several Pez dispensers.

Another example of profiling.

Profiling is an excellent and effective tool. The trouble comes when it is abused. In my opinion the correct measure to take when it is abused is to remove the abuser and keep the tool. Sadly society chooses to keep those who abuse it so our only option is to remove the tool.
