Headlamp issues
I recently took apart the front fairing on my 2009 Ultra Classic to wire tie down some stuff that was rattling. After doing that, I plugged the headlamp back in and put the fairing back together. Tonight while riding home on a back road, I hitt he bright light switch and the beam seemed to have a black spot in the middle of it. The low beam seems to work fine and is brighter in the dark that the high beam. The high beam is emitting a light though. When I got home, I checked the light on the garage door. Everything appeared normal with the low beam shining lower than the high beam and the high beam shining higher. Any ideas whats up with that? Could the filament in the bulb be partially burned out? Maybe I didnt get the headlamp plugged back in tightly? Thanks for any ideas.

usually when a head light works but not to it's full potential, it is a grounding issue. You might have disturbed a good contact. Most likely an easy fix if you can get your hand in there! Wiggle your wiring with the high beam on & look for differences in the brightness.

Had the same thing happen to me after taking off and reinstalling the fairing. I found that the bulb was not right in the socket. It was off kilter and was not projecting the light right when I switched to high beam. Look at your blub closely it's probably crooked....
