Things like this happen, that's what the warranty is for.

Have the dealer fix it, besides that is the bike you picked out right? Probably not another exactly like it on the floor. I would push for a free stage one upgrade since they have it apart and you have been inconvienced. Seems like the fair thing to do if the dealership has any character.

Whats with the pissing match about Softails versus Dynas? Anyone who knows the HD history will tell you exactly what has already been said. Dyna are sportys with big engines and a Softail is always a upgrade from the Dyna. Flame on, cause I don't give a rats ***.

I'll take the bike off your hands. I'll send you a check for $600,000, you take what you want for the bike and wire me back the difference....

In case nobody noticed, the OP posted once, his first, and then vanished. Just someone stirring the pot? He did instigate 38 posts.

With only 12km on the odometer, it's covered by the warrenty. No point in being ugly about it yet. Sometimes things just happens. When I bought my 07 FLH the engine turned to junk at 5ooo mi. due to a faulty oil seal in the engine. Totally covered by warrenty. I just lost the use of my ride for about a month while the dealer made it right. The bike has not had any other problems since.
