04' sportster lowering vs air suspension
I have burly lowering shocks on the bike but I can't ride 2 up. Is there another shock that loweres the bike but still able to ride 2 up? I have to have it lowered because I'm only 5'6. Im 200 pounds and my wife is 160. Im thinking about air suspension but really don't want to spend the money unless I can't find a lowering shock. What shocks are there or what air suspension should I get. I was looking at the arnott air suspension. Thanks

Lowering the bike is going to take away from the suspension travel, leaving less comfort for the two of you. Im running the stock height road king air shocks, you can also find the one inch shorter style that would put you back to stock height, about 12". I see they sell lowering brackets that you use with the shocks, but I dont know how safe they are. Riding two up I would go with the 12" air shocks and have someone alter your seat some.

I have the one inch lowering blocks on my 88 and Im running Roadking air shocks with 8psi. No issues at all riding 2 up. I picked up my air shocks on ebay last year for under 20 bucks so its definately cheaper than an air ride setup.
