Default Shouldn't HD salesman own a Harley Davidson?

I stopped into the dealership today for no good reason, got to looking at a couple new bikes. Softail Deluxe and Fat Boy Lo. I asked the salesman if he had road both, he said yes. I then asked what he owned and he said a "Yamaha." He hesitated like he didn't want to tell me. Personally i don't care what people ride but its interesting that he doesn't have a HD. It would be like walking into work at Chevy driving a Toyota. or being at Pepsi drinking Coke.

I sure it probably because HD won't give anyone a break on pricing. Not even the sales force.

You should have asked him how long he had worked there.

Most HD sales staff can't afford to own a Harley. They get paid ****.

Do Ferrari or Lamborghini salesmen necessarily own exotic cars? I remember having a real estate agent once who lived in an apartment, as he was looking and hoping for a house.

+ 1, I know a few salesmen who have worked at 3 or 4 dealerships in just the past couple of years. BTW if you go to the auto plants you see many different kinds of cars in the employee parking lot.

My truck is a GMC. My sales man drives a Toyota. I ride a Harley and a Honda. I don't care about the brand issue. Buy what you want and ride on---no EGO!

The salesman I bought my Night Train off used to ride BMW's and told me honestly that he preferred them over Harleys. He said the dealership "pressured" him into rising his 'Glide.....

Depends on the dealership...Salesman I bought from has 3 harleys, a triumph and a kawasaki. All the other salespersons own 1 or more HD's...Even the Motorclothes chicks own HD's.....

Just sayin'...
