Bikes not allowed at Gatlinburg Inn

I think Billy handled this situation quite well in "Easy Rider".
As far as making a stink, if the place doesn't want our business, fine. Last time I was in Gatliniburg, there were plenty of other choices.
And just for thought...If you were looking for a hotel and saw a half dozen bikes surrounded with guys wearing colors, would you stop there for the night? If the answer is "no", you have no cause to rip on the motel management.

So in looking at the website link they are a "historic" hotel and are very up front about what they don't allow. The security guard saved the OP the effort of parking and going into the hotel to find this out. The only thing that could have made it simpler is posting the "no pets, motorcycles, or motor homes right out front at the entry.
Why make a scene about being excluded? As noted, there are many locations looking to earn your business why insist on bugging someone who doesn't want your money? Never understood logic like that.

As stated, vote with your wallet. Go elsewhere.
If it bothers you that much, when in the area on other than your bike act like you are going to stay the night until you discover they don't allow bikes.
Tell them you had planned on a second trip in the area on your bike with your friends.
Then drive off to where you know they are biker friendly.

The Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area has a bike week sometime in the Spring or Fall I think. If not a bike week, there is a week when there are tons of motorcycles there every year. I'd say for every 1 hotel that doesn't allow bikes, there are probably 5 others that do. So what this one place doesn't want your money. It will spend somewhere else.

I hate when places are like that. There a some appratment complexes and trialer parks, yes trailer parks that don't allow bikes in them. Sorry, but it's a leagal raod vehicle and i'm going to ride where I want.
