Once we got ours set up they work fine, when usinf vox we just say hello ,wait a second and then they are connected. If we are in traffic or just want to talk a while just tap the A button and they go to direct connect. The wind noise is not an issue because we wear full face helments. We love ours but they may be better products out there.

I can't speak for the Scala G4 - we have the G2, but we do have some intermittent connectivity disruptions, and some wind noise.
The wind noise is mainly because I have mine fixed to my half-helmet - other than that, it's not too bad.
As for the connectivity, I do have to hit the re-connect button now and then. Not a huge deal.
A lot more positives than negatives to these.
Overall, we love them and won't take a long ride without them.
Take a look at american classic motors .net - we got complete set there for $165 on clearance.

Wife and I have been using them for about 6mos. When we first bought them it seemed that they were dropping the signal, but after calling the tech support, they just had come out with a firmware to flash the unit. Once I did both units, they have worked great. Wind noise is not an issue for us, as we both wear FF helmets.

+1 - With the latest firmware updates, my experience with the G4 has been very good. As said above, the VOX can be finicky depending on your pipes and wind noise, but I never liked VOX anyway, and I don't want to hear the OL when she decides to sing along with the tunes that are playing. I just turned the VOX feature off and use Push To Talk instead.

Streaming music from my phone over BT to the G4 works great, and have no trouble with the G4 going 10+ hours on a charge when doing so.

While I don't make a habit of using the phone while riding, I have tested it for sound quality while running 80mph on the slab with a 3/4 helmet, and everyone has said that the the sound quality on their end is very good.

Yea the FM radio is not the best but using the phone to play music through it works great and the hands free phone calls also works good as well.
