Save your money. Best defense is one eye in each ditch. They are most active at dusk and dawn.

 

A friend has had one on his bike for nearly 3 yrs now. "He" is a believer. Can be heard by the human ear.

 

Best/cheapest deer aviodance system = keep alert! Lived in deer country most of my life & they run in front of anything so just keep eyes peeled & watch the dawn/dusk riding times when they're more active.

 

I hit a deer once while driving my truck, the deer came out of the ditch on my left running full flight, a couple long strides across the road, tried to get in front of me but hit my front grill. From the time I saw him till the time he hit me I only had time to move my foot from the gas to the brake. Didn't even start to slow the vehicle.

So my point is, it wouldn't matter what kind of beeper thingy I had, even if I had one. That deer was spooked and would have been hit regardless.

Best thing to do is slow down at dusk and follow a car or truck. That's what I do.

 

Works great. The deer are really attracted to it.

Seriously.....Snake oil. What is a deer supposed to think about a noise? When they come out with one that guarantees rational thought in a deer, let me know.

 

My brother brought the idea up for the trip. Myself, ive only heard about what could happen. It is good to know about the dusk and dawn, will be a little more aware at those times, thanks for that.

i cant believe a company is still selling them. the whole deer siren thing was proven useless a long time ago.
