Yep. If the sound of a Harley doesn't scare the deer away, I'd like to know what people think a little extra high-pitched whistle is going to do.

My theory is that the problem with deer is that they don't drive - therefore, they don't understand that cars and motorcycles follow the road. All they know is that it is coming closer and they are equally likely to run in any direction.

 

Saw one last year run right into the drivers door of the car in front of me. Major damage and Bambi ran away. I just strap a venison cookbook on the front of my bike. They see that and run away.

 

Since I hit the deer a year ago December, I always ride with some deer bones in my saddle bags. Seems to be working as a warning so far.
