All ways. I usually keep two pair with me. Different db ratings depending on how much the wind noise is bothering me. Ear Planes from the drug store work most of the time.

Unless I forget to put them on, I try to always have a set in place under my full face helmet. I've lost a lot of my hearing over time and am just trying to keep what I have left.

I always wear ear plugs. The orange ones (-33 db) from Howard Leight.

When the shield is off of the RK (most of the time) I do wear the earplugs due to wind noise. Like a lot on here I have lost a bit of my hearing and trying to protect what's left.

Started using the foam one's a couple months ago (closing the gate after the horses are out) and have noticed a big difference in my ability to hear after stopping when on a ride.

I've been thinking of switching to a 3/4 helmet for this very reason but I might give ear plugs a try first.
