I've toured with Jethro Tull on my bike. Usually parked it like everybody else and never had a problem. But that was in Europe. Couldn't tell you about the states.

I don't think I've ridden to a concert before, but I ride the thing everywhere else. Lock the bars and don't leave any valuables on it.

Done it about 2 dozen times over the years. Never had a problem. You might check the event center you are planning on attending and see if they offer motorcycle parking only places (safety in numbers). Once I lock the bike (fork/ignition) I also have a good cable or chain and a real good lock and run it through the frame and rear end.

There is no absolute perfect protection plan I suppose other than leaving the bike at home, but for me it is not much different than going to a big rally and parking along curbs and walkways and leaving your bike locked up. Just got to take the best protection you can and believe that it will be there when you get back.

Yeah, that.

I followed Pink Floyd for a month in '87 on my bike, and the only problem I had was finding bus stations with lockers to store my chit.

I didn't hurry to leave the shows, though ... so the drunks and stoners had plenty of time to get away. And it wasn't a Harley, so nobody wanted to sit on it.

I've rode my bikes to concerts several times. Why not? You buy the bike to ride not sit in the garage and worry about it.
