Ok I know this horse has been kicked to death, but I have to ask the question. I have the worst credit ever just got out of a chapter 7 after the illness and death of my daughter put us under. I have been working with my local HD dealership and have put a deposit on my bike, the finance manager is telling me with 50% down (7000.00) he is sure he can get the deal done no problem, i'm making weekly payments until I make the 50% down and there holding the bike, I dont care about loan terms and intrest it will help restore my credit and I can power pay it off in a year, so my question is ya'll think the finance manager can really get it done with that down or is my skirt blowing in the wind any insight woud be appreciated

real bad 4 years of medical bills FICO is 528

 

You will be surprised what some lenders are willing to do to get a loan....

Ooooo 528,,,,,MGR of the dealership I use says they are getting people thru with low 600 scores with minimal down payment. 50% down would help greatly...I'll swing by and ask him tomorrow

 

No joke I have a 23 yr old kid in my shop just got a 2010 SG with 0 down and a hellish credit score. But his was due to being young & no real credit history. I know right now HD is doing anything the can to move a bike off the floor. Most the dealerships here still have new 2010 & even some 2009's on the floor.

If you have been dealing with the same guy over time then most likely he's not F'ing you over. Most dealers will only "deal" if they know there is a sale to be made he's not going to waste his time if he can't make a sale.

 

thanks man, i've got 3900.00 down on the bike already and they took the bike off the showroom floor and moved it to storage sold, so I hope the finance manager knows what he's talking about

 

ssry about ur daughter..but, there are plenty of good used bikes out there w low miles..cheap..jus sayin

 

I say try it with a co signer. My credit was bad and so was my co signer and I had 1500 down on a Nightster.
