American made Leathers and boots?

Some are made in China. Some are made here with imported material and some are made here with material from here. You would think imported material would cost more but nope the boots that are 100% here are the most expensive.

redwing #968 says USA on the tag inside the boot. i just bought a pair and the cheesy redwing badge on the side of the boot isn't there. they must have stopped putting them on.

Plus one on the Fox Creek. They list in bold letters when its an American made jacket. I have a Natel, its American made but I think they are no longer making motorcycle jackets. If you want American made, just don't go to Harley for it. They will charge you as much as if it was made in the USA, but it won't be.
These guys have a big list of American made boots:

I have a pair of these too. The best work/riding boots I've ever worn.
Chippewa makes the high calf, pull up motorcycle boots as well. Check 'em out...

I spent a lot of time researching boots. Lots of American companies (chipewa, redwing, carolina) have SOME boots made in America but not all. It is really hard to tell from the on-line descriptions.
I bought a pair of Carolinas, made in USA for about $175. The price was way higher than I could have paid for imported boots but it was important to me to buy USA.
BTW- I found mine at a 'boot world' outlet shop. I think they were a discontinued model but they are super comfortable and the guy at the store took the time to make sure I got a pair that fit properly. That is important when you have a 13 EEE.
