Spent the day there yesterday. It was slow, but I definitely saw the potential for a great event if the promoters stick with it. The Lamar Dixon expo center is the perfect place for a rally. If anyone has been to the ROT Rally in Austin, TX they know what I mean.

The wife and I rode out to it yesterday also. I liked the set up they had there and the food options were bad ***! I see the potential for it to be a GREAT rally as the years go. We had to roll out around 3 pm (crawfish boil) but we did get to see some of the first band. Standard wares for sale and as usual, I spent a few bucks of stuff I'd been eyeing. I would have loved to see how the evening pulled together.

Well, the Rally wrapped up Sunday and is being reported as a success so maybe it will be around next year and be bigger.

I'm local so I rode over to check it out on Saturday -- you're right, we've had some perfect weather lately. And I have to say the Lamar facility is one of the most perfect(!) I've seen for a rally -- plenty of room, everything under cover. Looked like good participation, hope this one takes off!
