Usually left. In the MSF course they gave a good reason for that but I forgot it. If anyone knows it ,speak up!

On and off from the right side away from traffic as taught in motor school. Only time I get on or off on the left side is when space or incline doesn't allow me to use the right side.

Left side. Just seems more natural since the bike is already going that way.

Both sides.......depends on the situation at hand.

I never sneak up on the bike and hop-on from the back as it might spook the bike (Oh! wait a minute, that's a horse thing).

I always get on and off on the right side. Seems easier for some reason and if the bike falls, it falls away from you.

Sometimes people put too much emphasis on what is taught in MSF. (I've attended BRC once and ERC 3x) Some things are blanket rules for people with ZERO experience. Example, I love to kill my engine as I'm rolling into the garage and coast on in. That would be a huge no-no in MSF, but I'm pretty sure I'm not going to hurt anyone or anything by doing it.

Aw, Man! I am just getting dizzy trying to decide which side, front or back, up or down. I get on from the right...and I get off on the right. Always have and always will.

It always depends on what day of the week it is and whether it's an odd numbered day or even numbered.
