Default Harbor Freight lift table folks...

I snagged the HF 1000lb table lift and the front wheel chock the week before last. The lift is fantastic, especially with the addition of the wheel chock in place of the cheesy wheel clamp that comes with the table. Working on the bike on the lift has been a joyous experience.

Now, time for my stupidity to shine through: I need to drop the rear wheel off the bike while it's on the table. The table has a removable panel to allow the wheel to be removed but I can't figure out how to lift the bike in a stable manner while it's on the table to allow enough room to get the wheel off.

I don't have a motorcycle jack. Will the HF jack fit on the table? If not, what are some other solutions? I tried to use a car spare tire jack with a piece of 2x4 and it was ultra sketchy. I couldn't even get the bike high enough to get the wheel off the table and get some blocks under it.

I chained mine to the joists (floor joists of the first floor, my shop/garage is the basement).

I also put a crate for it to rest upon. Worked great for me.

Doh. I really am a dumbass. I actually have an engine hoist pulley attached to one of the cross I-beams in the garage. I'd probably just need to re-position the table under the I-beam.

That's pretty much what I was looking for, short of hoisting as previously suggested. I'm thinking that may be the ticket if I can't get the table under the hoist.

Thanks guys.

I got a cheap sissor lift from harbor freight and welded a few pieces of plate steel on either side cause I had scrap steel laying around. once it's up if I leave it overnight I put a couple 4x4's under it.

I use one of the little scissor jacks that come with cars for for the spare , works just like that $100 Blackjack unit and they don't wear out as fast . I wore out 2 of the Blackjack style and you can buy 50 of the cheapies at a junk yard for what those cost .
