If it's for doing your apes you might consider doing the job yourself. My son printed out all of the info he needed from this site to do the apes on his 07 Wide Glide. I'll talk to him tomorrow and see if he'll go with me up to Ramona on sat afternoon to give any help you might need. He put his in the garage and with little assistance from me and taking his time he did the job in about 8 hours. Let me know.

Unless they increased their rates, the dealer in Lancaster, CA charges $80 an hour.
I installed my bars instead of paying another to do what I can do myself.

I'll let the dealer or a good indy do engine work and what-not, I'd rather do normal things myself.

washed the bike today, put all new cables on, new mirrors, new brake/clutch levers, and new rotor/pads on the front. Felt good to get my hands dirty and drink beer in the garage.

Dealer is insane (based ona quote of $250 to dismount/mount a carry in wheel and tire)
Indy is $50/hr.
MisterPX's labor rate rate is $0/hr.

My indy is $60 & usually just ball parks it. I only take it to him when there are things I just cant do or dont have time. But things like bars, cables.. all things I'll do myself.

Wow dealer rates have dropped the last 10 yrs , that's a change . Indian dealer in 03 was getting $105 hr and 5.5 hrs for a handle bar change then on the Chief model .
