One for All the "Hi-Vis" Vest Bashers
Got a chuckle on this one & actually saw the rider get through our main gate (US Air Force Base) w/no problem(s). I'd have to say it could be a good safety garment for riders who don't care for all the yellow/orange "construction worker style" garments out there, but LEO's might think different...

Nice shirt!!
It's actually DOD policy to not have the reflective requirements during the day, but at night. Contrasting clothing during the day and reflective at night. If your base is still implementing the vest I would talk to them and have their base instruction updated unless you guys like wearing them. I don't....lol!!
I wish the Navy would do away with decals like the Air Force did.

I have one of the orange mesh with white reflective strips from the days that I worked in a street department. A salesman came by and gave me a sample of a new vest that they were putting out. It had a pocket for a 9 volt battery and the reflective strips had a series of led lights sewn in.
I have never had the guts to wear it at night. A reflective vest is bold enough but one flashing down the roadway would get the BMW prize of the year for safety.

They sell the shirts here locally in an assortment of colors: Neon -orange, -green, and -yellow. Next time I'm in the store, I'll have to see if they have vests in that style as well.

I told this story before but there was a dude that rode a softail on base and he had a vest like you see the road crews wearing and it said "inmate". I got a good chuckle every time I saw it.

Bro with some of the stuff I've had on shirt's over the years I can safely say John Q Law could care less about what's on that one . I wore a " No Butt , No Putt " tee to traffic court once forgot I had it on , you could see the judge almost crack a smile . Might look into that one myself , LOL .
