Spent many a night at the Pastime watching The Stanton-Anderson Band & Kivetsky. Then used to go down the block & check out the Amityville horror house. Always lots of gawkers there; I heard they changed out the quarter-moon windows & changed the adress 'cause the owners couldn't get any privacy. I would think it would've upped the value of the house.

Sorry, don't know myself.
My former club has its annual charity ride sign in at Mineola. They are very good about opening the place on Sunday.

Came across this thread by accident. Dickey, by any chance did you sell the Norton around '77 - '79 to a fireman in Queens? I inherited a 75 Commando from my Dad back in the early 80's. Still have it. Black and Gold, although Dad did repaint it.

My dad grew up in Queens...I do recall some old pics of racing and their cars.

This thread is a great example of the internet at its finest. I grew up in Chicago, so don't know about any of this stuff, but it's a great read.

Much better than the usual whiney, bitchy bullshit.

I remember The Good Rats, Spoof, Nathans Tuesday night bike nights in Oceanside. I use to see the Dragon bike going down Sunrise Highway around Amityville / Massapequa. Lots of muscle cars, street racing, Poindexter from Massapequa with his V8 Vega. A lot of good memories in this thread.

They say you can't go back. But havin' great bike memories is the next best thing.
Speaking of bike memories, I never met a Norton I couldn't blow off..
