if you don't have a way to "rinse" it clean......A 50/50 mixture of vineagar and water in a spray bottle will take the hard water spots out with very little effort....Just spray it on a clean rag and wipe the bike down.........

I just use a car wash detergent like Blue Coral or Mothers with a Spot Free agent built in and blow dry after washing...No spots!

If you don't wait all day to dry it you'll be fine. A motorcycle just ain't that damn big.

Our whole house filter plus the water softener seems to solve that issue, thinking most have one of these.
If not, just be sure to dry her off before she air dries, I also use a leaf blower to aid doing that.

You do know that distilled water takes off wax, right?

I like Dawn Dish soap for the wash then after rinsingI wipe it down with a shammy or use the blow dryer. Dawn works pretty good because sometimes the summer heat dries it before I can wipe it.

Default water spots

Here's a trick that a car detailer showed me. Remove the nozzle from the end of your hose to give your bike a final rinse, this is after you rinsed all the soap off. Use low water pressure and just let the water flow over the bike. You will notice that the water will "sheet" off the bike leaving very few if any water spots. He said that the nozzle introduces air into the water and causes it to form bubbles on the surface that then dry, leaving the dreaded mineral deposits behind. I rinse my black mustang this way and it makes a big difference.
