If you were making a Harley commercial...

Good...........this one. Less about Harley's, it captures what riding a motorcycle is all about.

"We believe in sticking it to the Man..." - WTF does this even mean? Tax evasion? Draft dodging?
"We believe in wearing black because it doesn't show dirt... or weakness" - C H E E S E!!!

Harleys are beautiful. Focus on the lines and beauty of the bikes and then the sheer pleasure of riding one in some beautiful locations.

but I do believe in gas station hot dogs! I liked that commercial and the one with all the cages. I think those are the only 2 Ive caught, dont watch much tv. But a good commercial would have a few highly "personalized" bikes, That is where the moco makes their money is on accessories.
Or shoot it like the lead in videos on Top Gear with dramatic lighting, fast transitions showing the lines, and lots of hot women and explosions. I know when I see a commercial I like it is usually funny or has hot women combined with explosions/guns/fast cars bikes boats.

Start with the sportster line, show all the sportsters, fade to the dyna line, show then, fade to the softail line, show them, fade to the touring line, show them, fade to the vrod line, show them. Show all models fading from one to the next. Use voice over to explain what each line is and why riders choose their rides.

open with a clip showing a blindfolded kid kissing another blindfolded kid. Have them kiss. Make it look like they enjoyed it. Take blindfolds off it turns out they are related. then cut to a scene with some "other" vtwin and a badass harley. Text across the bottom: "It may feel the same, but it just aint right"

Try a Commercial without any voice over at all, just find some cool music and show a lone rider burning up some lonely road someplace, with the bike loaded down, get some cool close ups from some good angles of the bikes, Actually some from a camera mounted on the bike. if they want to feature different models, do the same for each. For me the simpler the commercial is, the better it is. all this bad *** image they are trying gets old, try to capture the freedom of it.

Use a 6'3'" guy.Show him in a pickup filling up his tank and meter going over $120. Then filling up his wives Prius $40, but having to cram in to it, and looking whipped. Then show him filling his Harley FLHTCUI for $15 and roaring off into the most fun part of his day, going to work, which is a whole nother story in the grind. I live this ad. I don't have earrings or tattoos, or think Harley is a religion. Just real fun. I would also make an ad replaying the start to Then Came Bronson, which is why I ride. "Wish I was you", best line ever. Loved that show.
