I've always been a Thunderheader guy but a decade ago they were experiencing some quality control issues and after researching every pipe out there I went with Drago's Dragula with the 2" baffle on my new 103. When I blew that 103 up I went to an S&S 124 and wanted the same pipe - I called Frank and he sold me a 3" baffle for the my pipe instead. Between the two motors my pipe has 80k miles on it and I would install another one in a heart beat - but there is nothing wrong with it.

 

It sounds like Basani has the best reputation after Thunder Header. I don't like the look of the Basani, but out of the options available I like them the best. I'll probably order them next month for my 06 FXST. I want power but I need it to be low enough for the hard bags I want to put on it.

I'd say go with whatever one you like the looks and sound of because you won't notice a big difference.

 

I love the old school sound and look of the thunderheader. Back in the day whenever I would see HAs they would be running TH. It always sounded good! For performance though, I like Pro Pipe by VH.
