A 10-year-old thread gets some new life...think this is one of the record books.

[QUOTE=YoungBuck45ACP;19709976]I have thunder headers on my 85 FL and I can pull the front tire,

No offense but that seems unlikely due to addition of an exhaust

ANY exhaust....(turbochargers excepted)

What about a quiet great performing 2 into 1 exhaust? I'm not all about that noise.

Sorry it took so long to reply. I couldn't get into my account and then I couldn't find this question.

I built that motor probably 18 years ago, and then I didn't ride it much for the last 14 years because I was raising kids. I don't remember everything that was done to it but Its basically as stripped bike. No bags, no Faring, no chrome covers, nothing that doesn't need to be there to make it go. I know I bought a Crane Cam for it and I think it was the EV-46 and adjustable titanium push rods and I think I went +10 with the pistons, but I cant remember what pistons. I did polish and port the heads with a Dremel tool too. I also have a dual fire electronic ignition blue and white label (Crane maybe?) S&S Super E and thunder headers. They don't (didn't) make a two into one for that bike (85 FLT) but the motors are the same so I got the thunder headers and fabricated brackets to hold it up. I made a steel bracket to go behind the passenger foot peg to go along and under the rear saddle bag support. That bracket holds it up just fine.
