Unbelievable, heat has not been noticeable yet. I was riding about a week ago and the air temp was about 85. The ceramic coating does make a difference. if you get Franks pipes beside a similar bike (I ride with two others with stock pipes) and put your bare hand about 8 inches from the pipes at operating temperature, you will feel the difference. On my Ultra Glide the elimination of the left rear pipe really benefited my wife more so than me. Price and performance I don't think you can get any better pipe. But like I said before, after doing all the research give Frank a call and he will give you lots of "other" info on the pipes, sound, installation, manufacturing specs since he has been modding bikes for years and tells it like it is. Good luck.

Default Bassini RR

Anyone run the Bassini Road Rage? I think it would look good on my Fat Boy Lo. I am looking at the shorter pipe vs. the longer one.

165,000+members in here and 9yrs later, no one knows whats the best pipes are!..

Nor do we know whats the best Seat, Oil, tires, cams, wheels or bars are.

We just all have our own opinions. Because we think we all have the best, I know I do.....

D&D Fat Cat has won over a lot of folks. I'm running one on my SG and love it.

Supertrapp makes a nice 2-1 pipe also...
+1, the RB LSR will be what I put on my bike when the exhaust gets changed, and it is no more expensive than the CRAPPY vance and hines.

D&D fatcat is what you need! I would say it is difficult to say which is "the best" as everyone likes something different, but this is what I run and am never going back to another brand exhaust. I sell them too for a great price as I do all other brands. PM or email me at DREW@DRVTWIN.COM

You need to take look at "The Dragula" Pipe that Frank over at DragosBikeWorks offers. Its a Hell of alot cheaper than the D&D, he's only asking $650 ,it performs better, looks better and comes with interchangeable tips, and youcan also get it in chrome or black.Just received mine yesterday all I can say is WOW .This pipe is Massive. The workmanship is awesome. This pipe is nothing short of Incredible.

Thanks for the posts about DragosBikeWorks. Had'nt heard about them, but sure looks like they make some nice pipes. I'm not ready to trade in the FatCat but if I ever get that second bike..
