Yeah, put the scoot away for the season. Nothing but rain/snow and cold in the future. Took the HD and the wife's Vette over to the storage place today....It'll be April or May before they see the roads again....

Sounds like a necessary thing when you live that far north. Had mine out today for a little spin, wore my 3/4 helmet for the first time since last winter due to a wind chill and gusty winds. It also keeps all the falling leaves from hitting my face.

Down here, my riding frequency definitely goes down through the winter, but I never really put it away.

Sorry you got to do that. I only slow my roll when it is cold and heavy rain, or a brief ice/snow incident. I'll ride in our lowest possible temps (right around 20). No biggie

I'm hoping to ride until December, but the first snow and salting of
the roads will end it for me. I don't want salt on the bike and it's
too cold to wash it when it's below freezing. I don't mind the cold,
just the snow and the road salt. I need to move to AZ.......

This is the worst october weather I can remember in decades. Rain, sleet, snow and high temps in the 30s. Its bad enough winter lasts 5+months in a normal year. I havent been on my bike in almost 2 weeks. This just sucks the big one.......................BG

I honestly feel bad that you guys have to wait until April or May to ride again (so please don't think I am gloating). We were able to ride year round in Denver. I couldn't imagine having to put the bike in storage for half the year.

Yep, very depressing. I'm going to try and hold off as long as possible.
Ideally I'd like to ride all winter if I could get at least one day every
two weeks with no snow/ice/salt on the roads. But it seems like when
once it starts snowing here, you're done.

Hack I know what you mean. Last year was able to ride into November. This October has been really raining/snow and cool.

This year my riding season was cut short when I hit a deer a couple weeks ago while riding the scoot at night. I came away with a sprained ankle when I hit the side of deer with my foot on the highway peg. Managed to keep it up so damage wasn't too bad.
The bikes in the shop waiting for a front fender and other parts. 8 to 12 weeks for a painted fender from the factory, glad it didn't happen during the summer.

Spring won't get here soon enough!
