+1 on earplugs. I have a Heritage with no windshield. On the highway the wind noise was deafening with my Scorpion EXO 100, even with the 1/2 shield down. Picked up a cheap set of earplugs at Tractor Supply (the closest store with plugs) and stuck them in. Voila, Much more comfortable. If they fall out, oh well, only gave like 2 bucks for 5 pairs...Just check the ratings and get the most you can for noise deadening. I can still hear traffic, my pipes, etc.

PS don't get sore ears from the wind on the commute on those chilly mornings..
