Well, if the charity run rules say 50/50, then you would be well within etiquette to keep your 50 and use in what ever way ya desire (of course, don't forget to tithe), however if it is a 100/0 and you win,,,,,,, you should just say how much ya enjoyed the ride.

My first poker run was for a lady w/ cancer that was a friend of a friend type deal. I took 2nd place prize, $120.00.....as I accepted the money I turned to the cancer society lady to give it all back...she said tell ya what, I'll split it w/ya...take your wife out to dinner.

The lady that beat my flush to win the $500.00, walked up, to the cash & left...not a thank you or nuttin'....to each their I reckon...

well, i agree that if its a charity, you might as well decline the winnning, but hey, if its a 50/50, they get their cut, you can have yours, with nothing bad about it. after all, you put in your ticket price, just like everyone else that the charity got half of. youre welcome to go the extra and give your half of the winnnings as well, but nothing wrong if you dont. otherwise it wouldnt be a raffle, would it?

traditionally the winnings are supposed to be spent on hoores and drogs, but some of us are a little old for that. ymmv and all.

tithe? nah.
