Lean for sharp turns, stteer for slow turns. And yes you can turn handle bar right to go left. I do itt when in first gear and weaving through traffic so I can be the first one at the light.

I suppose you dont get the "turn handle bar right to go left" part. Its easy just like riding a bicycle. If your gonna change lanes quickly left in heavy traffic while going slow start by straightening your left arm while brining your right arm to your chest. The motorcycle is on an angle for a split second. Your turning left however the bar is turning right compared to the adacent angle in which the bike is pointing. Meant for turning in first gear, or at slow right angle turns like at a gas station. Its all about counter balancing the bike. When I do this I am standing up butt off the seat, otherwise I would drop her. Sorry for the late reply I've been sick.

New Thread: Do you Steer your bike or lean?

I lean. Steering may wear out the steering head. I'd like that to last a long time. Do you lean? Leaning is good. I think steerers and Leaners shouldn't hang out together.

Jeez...what a bunch of crap.

Downshift for gods sake....better yet, get a Ridley (www.ridleymotorcycle.com) and you wont have to worry about it anymore.
I'm sorry. My post was supposed to be a joke!!!....Apparently only WgSkee caught on. Hijacked the thread. My bad. You see, I thought everyone who rode a motorcycle knew about countersteering. Therin lies the humor. Otherwise you couldn't get out of your own neighborhhod. They may not CALL it countersteering, but they know about it....It's like saying "Does anyone put air in their tires?"

Ummmm, Downshifting is good....So is countersteering.....I think.
