Do you always use the clutch when upshifting?

RE: Do you always use the clutch when upshifting?
As a new rider, it was/is difficult to remember that the Clutch is my "Friend". Riding the clutch in the P-car would quickly result in a nine hour operation at substancial expense!!! And that's just figuring in parts with myself doing the labor!!!
So yes!!! Riding/Using Clutch on bike yes!!!
Excessive riding the clutch in the car... NO!!![:@]
Jim aka kiltiemon (It seems it'd take a fair amount of skill to shift sans clutch without buggering the gears!)

You can upshift and downshift if you get the rpm's right but if you dont you get some serious grinding going on. Have ya ever missed a shift and gone to neutral with the throttle wide open? If yer rev limiter is set too high you end up with bent valves and big dents in your pistons and possibly bent connecting rods. How do I know this, guess? .................BG
