Default Holding Sponsors Accountable?

Should a sponsor to the forum that sells Harley aftermarket parts be held accountable for bad service, or do we look the other way just because they are a sponsor? The rules here state that we look the other way. What’s more important, a happy member or happy sponsors?
What do we do when sitting politician screws up? I’ll tell you what we do. We talk bad about him to let others know and hope to get him to make things right or we get (vote for) somebody else. Yet we can’t let others here know when a sponsor does bad service. Forum members beware!

Without mentioning names a few details would be helpful

I didn't realize that was the rule that they can't be held/talked about? If that is the case I think it is wrong. If you get bad service from a sponsor or anyone else I would like to hear abbot it and think it is wrong that they would get special treatm$ent.

Now in saying that I also suspect this tread will get locked out because of the fact that we are even talking about sponsors which is another problem IMHO

Sponsors are there to pay for advertisement, not to censor the forums. I personally want to hear customer feedback good or bad. I take the good and improve on it, and welcome the bad to know what to change.

Doesn't mean they are free to give poor service though. I am speaking not only as a rider but a businessman.

So what are those such as yourself that have a paid membership here actually paying for if not to help keep the site up? Just curious.

Terry is the Chief Moderator...he makes the rules, and he said bashing of sponsors is NOT ok.

Take it up with him.

Bashing is one thing, an honest post discussing negative feedback with a company is another.

Good point IronAss.

I guess the smart thing is to not trust a site sponsor any more than anyone else or any other business. Sponsors are just advertisers. Should one trust all advertisers? I think not.
