Default Myrtle Beach Bike Friendly Rentals??

I searched with all the major realtors in the Myrtle Beach area and was surprised to learn that the majority of houses that are for rent do not allow motorcycles or trailers. This is from North Myrtle to Murrels Inlet. Where is everyone going to say or has the attendance dropped off so that this is not a problem?

We always stayed at the Day's Inn in Surfside. Biker friendly, only bikes in the parking garage under the building. Kept a trailer in the parking lot. I know its not a house, but it worked for us. Plus, four bars in walking distance from the Inn.

curious as to what their reason is for not allowing bikes...

just another reason to avoid the area.

I made the mistake of going to MB bike week three years ago. One of my riding buddies' in laws has a townhouse in a gated community and they would not allow bikes inside the gate either. The HOA says home owners pay big bucks for their place near the beach with guarantees for peace and quiet. Meaning they don't want to be disturbed by our noisy motorcycles.
I don't plan on ever going there again. There are too many other places that appreciate the boost in economy from a motorcycle event.
I'm leaving tomorrow morning with two other buddies heading to the Thunderbeach Rally in Panama City, Fl.
Ya'll can have MB and all the snoots that live there.

I wish that I could tell you for certain, but when I ask, the agent said that it was the owners decision and it was primarily driven by the bike week that followed the Harley Davidson bike week event.

back when we went to bike week there we used Rose Reality. I no longer have a card You can look Her up. fair and reasonably reasonable. I dont know if I will ever return to the area if I'm staying.

Because that's easier to enforce than not allowing "bikers" which is really the point. My understanding is that it isn't really the Harley crowd people around there, including the city, want to discourage, but the "black bike week" crowd that tends to create a lot more crime and disturbances.
